Instructional Technology Coach

I grew up in Orange County in the city of Orange. I went to Orange Coast College and then transfered to Cal State Fullerton where I majored in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. I took a year off from school and then returned to CSUF to get my teaching credential in mathematics.
After getting my credential I left the country and lived in Europe (Croatia) for three years and upon my return got a teaching job in Pasadena. After teaching in PUSD for 3 years I was asked to apply for the position of instructional technology coach. This is my second year in that position.
I would consider myself to be a techy nerd who is willing to try anything, but knows very little. My "tech" skills came from my background in video editing.

ReplyDeleteHey Coach! Did your time in Croatia inspire you to go into teaching or did you have that in mind during your undergrad days? What things do you like to do to keep yourself up-to-date with technology and education?
ReplyDeleteI knew I wanted to go into teaching back in my "3rd" first year of college, but I originally thought that I would go into accounting for a few years to make some money then go into teaching. However, by the time I made it to my senior year (8 years) I realized that I would not be happy as an accountant.
